Rick Owens Net Worth 2026: What His Company’s Accounts Show

Rick Owens Net Worth 2026: What His Company’s Accounts Show

Rick Owens’ net worth is likely somewhere between $150 million and $300 million in 2026. That’s our estimate, based on the filed accounts of his Italian operating company, Owenscorp Italia S.p.A., which booked €128.9 million in revenue and €17.5 million in net profit in 2024, its latest filed accounts.

No one outside the company knows the exact figure. Owenscorp is private, its shareholders aren’t published, and Owens has never sold a stake to a luxury group. Every number online, including ours, is an estimate built on the business he co-owns with his wife, Michèle Lamy.

How Rick Owens made his money

Owens launched his label in 1994 from a store on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. He moved to Paris in 2003, set up his home and atelier there, and has shown in Paris ever since.

In 2004 he and Lamy founded Owenscorp, the company that holds the brand. Over two decades it grew into a family of lines: the main Rick Owens collection, the DRKSHDW denim line, Rick Owens Lilies, and a furniture line that Lamy develops from his drawings.

Collaborations added reach without diluting ownership. Owens has partnered with Adidas, Birkenstock, Veja, Moncler, Champion, Converse and Dr. Martens. These deals typically pay through licensing or co-branded product revenue, two of the common types of business models in fashion, though the terms haven’t been disclosed.

The company sells far more abroad than at home. In 2023, according to figures compiled by Fashionbi from the company’s statement, roughly two thirds of revenue came from outside Europe.

Rick Owens’ revenue and profit, year by year

Because the operating company is Italian, its annual accounts are filed in the Italian business register. That gives us harder numbers than most designer net worth estimates have to work with.

YearRevenueNet profit
2021€86.3M*€9.7M
2022€109.3M*€18.0M
2023€125.3M€14.4M
2024€128.9M€17.5M
2025€127.7M†Not yet public

Two things stand out. Growth was fast through 2023, then flattened, and the early 2025 revenue figure sits slightly below 2024. And the business is genuinely profitable, keeping roughly 14 cents of every euro as net profit in 2024. Until the 2025 accounts are public, 2024 is the latest year with both revenue and profit, so that’s the year our math uses.

The 2023 dip in profit has an explanation. Fashionbi reported a €5.8 million provision for a tax dispute that year, which pulled net income down despite higher sales.

€9.7M€18.0M€14.4M€17.5M 2021202220232024 Owenscorp Italia net profit (€ millions)

Net profit was €17.5M in 2024, the latest filed year and the base for any valuation of the business.

How we estimate Rick Owens’ net worth

His wealth sits mostly inside Owenscorp, so the first question is what the company would be worth. Here are two common ways to value a profitable private fashion house, converted at €1 = $1.116.

MethodInputsCompany value
Earnings multiple€17.5M 2024 profit × 12 to 20€210M to €350M ($234M to $391M)
Revenue multiple€128.9M 2024 revenue × 1.5 to 2.5€193M to €322M ($216M to $360M)

Both methods land in the same zone: roughly €200 million to €350 million for the whole company.

From there we discount. Owens’ personal percentage isn’t public, Lamy co-founded the business and is assumed to share in it, and a private, founder-dependent label is hard to sell at full value. Add a cushion for cash taken out over the years, art, furniture and property, and our range for Owens comes to $150 million to $300 million.

The $200 million figure you’ll see on celebrity wealth sites sits comfortably inside that range. Our read is that it’s a reasonable midpoint, not a precise number.

Who is Rick Owens owned by?

Nobody outside the founders, as far as public records show. The brand is run through Owenscorp Italia S.p.A., based in Turin, which Owens and Lamy built from the company they founded in 2004. The register lists a majority shareholder, but that name isn’t available without a paid company report.

Owens told WWD in 2017 that the label planned to stay free of corporate investment, and there’s been no announced deal with LVMH, Kering or a private equity firm since. Group-owned houses work very differently; our look at the Fendi mission statement shows how an LVMH label presents itself. That independence is why he can make choices big groups would resist, such as its December 2025 decision to stop using fur in future collections, after a protest campaign by the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade, as The Business of Fashion reported.

It also shapes his wealth. He keeps the profits instead of sharing them with investors, but he hasn’t cashed in a big payday by selling a stake, so his fortune stays tied to one company’s performance.

How much is Rick Owens’ wife worth?

There’s no reliable public figure for Michèle Lamy. She co-founded Owenscorp and leads the furniture line, so part of the company’s value is likely hers, but her stake hasn’t been disclosed. Any specific number for her alone is a guess.

Why estimates of his wealth vary

Older figures lean on a 2017 WWD report that put the brand’s revenue at $120 million for 2016. Since then sales have grown and, more usefully, the Italian accounts show profit, which is what actually drives value.

Estimates also differ on whether they count the company’s full value or only Owens’ share, and whether they treat Lamy’s stake separately. Those choices alone can move a figure by $100 million.

FAQ

Is Rick Owens a billionaire?

No. Even the top of our valuation range puts the entire company at around $390 million, and Owens’ personal share is smaller than that. Unless the brand grows sharply or sells to a luxury group at a premium, a billion-dollar fortune isn’t close based on current filed results.

Who is Rick Owens married to?

Owens married Michèle Lamy in 2006. She’s his creative and business partner, co-founded Owenscorp with him in 2004, and develops the Rick Owens furniture line. The couple are based in Paris, where the brand has held its runway shows since Owens moved there in 2003.

The short version: Rick Owens built a profitable, independent label that earns around €17 million a year, and he’s chosen to keep it rather than sell it. That makes him rich, comfortably so, but his fortune is only as liquid as the day he decides to let someone else in.
